The Chronicles of Narnia - C.S.Lewis

Hi guys!

Sunday is Mother's Day, so I decided to write a review of one of the series that my mom likes, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.

As there are the book series and the movie series too I will give my opinion on which one is more worthwhile.

Let’s go to the plot ...

This book series of CS Lewis is very well wrotten and has a wonderful plot, containing a well structured characters and they progress throughout the history. It tells the story of Narnia world since its creation by Aslam, the adventures experienced by those who live in there until the last days of this universe.

The first book tells how the world of Narnia was created, as the White Witch (or Jadis)

got there and the first adventures of the first sons of Eve and Adam in that realm. It is only on the second book that the four Penvensie (Susana, Lucia, Peter and Edmund) brothers know Narnia and fight to save her from the clutches of the White Witch, this was the one that turned out on the first film of the series.

On each book you can see that as our world population the population of Narnia gradually is getting corrupted without weighing the lives taken and all the pain and suffering that are inflicting on others, which will make Aslam assume a radical decision, and is going to explain why Susana is no longer permitted to enter Narnia.

This series consists of seven books, and you must read in this sequence because it makes a big difference on your understanding of the Narnia universe, wherein three of those books does not treat about the Penvensie children but other characters that are part of the structures of that universe.

  1. The Magician's Nephew

  2. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

  3. The Horse and His Boy

  4. Prince Caspian

  5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

  6. The Silver Chair

  7. The Last Battle

Is that Worth ????

Definitely yes, in fact this is my reaction when I speak of these books, only in the brunette version, kkkkkk ....

The reading is engaging and pleasurable, and bring a great comfort to those who are experiencing some tough times in life such as the lost of someone and bullying.

Something interesting to be added is the association that the author made of Aslam and God, many features are similar as in the book The Horse and His Boy which shows that even Shata (Boy) believing to be alone Aslam always has been caring and supporting him without revealing to him as the same happens to us living creatures of this world.

Although it was wrote for children those books captivate young people and adults of all ages. And I must say that the film did not leave anything to be desired, of course, it is an adaptation, but maintained the integrity of the story.

The books box or the box of the movies you choose to give someone the gifted one will fall in love for the history and will be flattered for the gift, but here comes a alert for the possibility that person disappear or get very distracted for a while.
